Thanks for these words. I am struggling so much with all the anger and division in our country and in my family. Last night was a night of soul searching and grief. You reminded me that Ubuntu and justice need to be applied to all of life. I certainly can not love others until I love myself.
Susan these are such difficult times; the anger and divisiveness are depressing. I too am deeply grieving and writing is helping me. I do think if we offer compassion and love to ourselves it helps us offer the same to others. And being honest about how sad/angry/disappointed we are helps too. God bless you!
"How do we love our neighbors more? We treat them as though they are kin. We treat them as though they are worthy of dignity and belonging. Why? Because we are worthy of such goodness, and so are they." ♥️
I first was introduced to Ubuntu by Bishop Tutu in his book with the Dalai Lama, "The Book of Joy". It was the most beautiful concept - that we can only be when we are "we". You've captured the essence of this kind of just love so perfectly. Thank you for sharing.

The clairvoyance in the way you speak of Ubuntu is life giving and nourishment for the soul. Most grateful for this offering.
Thank you so much Karen. It is a healing thought for me, that if we find our connectedness, and lean in, it will heal us all.
