Thank you so much for articulating the grotesque words and ways Trump and his minions have perverted the gospel. I agree that we need to have a serious discussion in Democratic ranks about our involvement in Gaza.

Rev. Jacqui Lewis, thank you for this wonderful article. Reading your comments was just what I needed to hear from someone in the Christian clergy who oppose Trump's religious ideas. I believe I have a God of my understanding, which may differ from the Gods in other religions. I want to honor my beliefs just as every Christian, Muslim, Hindu, Jew, Agnostic, and Atheist wants to be allowed to hold his or her perspectives. In my opinion, no single religion should ever have control over all of the people of the world. Just as one person, in this instance, Trump, should not be allowed to control our government.

I agree, we can't force our religion on a pluralist society. What I LOVE is that all the world's religions have love of neighbor at the center of their ethics. What if love is the state religion?? Thanks so much.

The social, cultural, economic, and political destructors want us all to believe that life is a winner-take-all competition, that eliminating other people and consuming maximum resources are the keys to success and the path to victory. Their hyper focus on self-elevation cloaks their own clandestine self-hatred, and threatens to shred the threads that hold the cosmos together. If we do not proceed as one, together, we will recede as none, apart.
